I’m Matt, a photographer with more than 20 years of experience. Engagement photography is one of the services I offer in Edmonton and surrounding communities. I bring professionalism, reliability and thoughtful planning to portraits that focus on the two of you.
Before we photograph, I take time to understand what you want from the session. We’ll discuss your preferred mood, location, scheduling, clothing and any meaningful details you would like considered.
Many people aren’t used to being professionally photographed. You don’t need to arrive knowing how to pose: I provide direction and take care of positioning, lighting, composition and camera settings.
After the session, I carefully review the photographs, select the strongest images and hand edit the selections. Attention to quality continues through the finished work.

Understanding Your Preferences
We’ll discuss what you want from your engagement photographs, the mood and style you like, scheduling and any meaningful details. You’re welcome to suggest ideas or poses without needing to plan every photograph yourselves.
Planning the Location
We can consider outdoor locations around Edmonton, home or indoor settings where appropriate, and studio-style options where available. Your preferred look, comfort, accessibility, weather and access all help shape the decision.
Direction During Your Session
I guide positioning and handle lighting, composition and camera settings. We can make room for natural interaction alongside more directed portraits, working from the preferences we discussed before the session.
Reviewing Your Photographs
I carefully review the engagement photographs and select the strongest images, considering expression, connection and the visual preferences we discussed. This begins the process of preparing your finished photographs.
Careful Hand Editing
The selected photographs are individually hand edited. Quality control continues through editing, with attention to the details of each portrait and how the selection works together.
Receiving Your Photographs
Digital files are included. Most galleries are delivered within 2–3 weeks depending on project size; this is a general timeframe rather than a guaranteed deadline. Archival-quality prints and custom albums are available on request.
